About us
Driven by culture.
Backed by experience.
We’re a proudly Aboriginal-owned company with over two decades experience across Australia. We deliver high-quality construction, demolition and environmental remediation services, with integrity, expertise, and cultural responsibility.
Our Story
Founded on values. Built with grit.
Thomas Hutcheson, a proud Wakka Wakka and Kabbi Kabbi man, founded Dundee Rock in 2005 after a long career in construction. What began as a small, hands-on operation has grown into a respected national contractor, working with government, corporate and Tier One partners on complex, high-value projects.
At the heart of the business is Thomas’s grandmother, Elsie Willieboy, known as Marnie. Born in Nanango, Marnie was never given a recorded birthdate (one of many silent injustices faced by her generation). Her quiet strength and determination continue to shape the values that guide Dundee Rock.
Built on culture, grown through hard work, and committed to real change, Dundee Rock delivers high-quality work while creating long-term opportunities for Indigenous people across Australia.
Our anniversary
Celebrating 20 years of Dundee Rock!
In 2025, we proudly mark the 20th anniversary of Dundee Rocks—a journey filled with growth, dedication, and support. Tom and the team are grateful for the business we have built together, as well as the clients and friends who have been with us every step of the way. Your trust and loyalty have shaped our success, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
As we look ahead, we are excited about the opportunities the future will bring. With passion, innovation, and a continued commitment to excellence, we can't wait to see what the future holds!
Thank you for being part of our story. Here’s to the next chapter!
